Mr. Steve Sharpe a member of the counselling
ff has kindly offered to conduct a one
workshop for staff personnel in

"Communication Skills Training".

Course content would include:
(a) Attending Skills (emphasis on telephone)
(b) Observing Skills
(c) Listening Skills (emphasis on telephone
; procedures)
(d) Responding to Affect

This workshop will be of interrest to
all staff members but particularly recep-
tionists and those in related areas.

Interested staff members (limit 10) should
clear with their supervisors for time
release and suitable coverage and submit
their names to the Personnel department.

The Workshop will take place on Friday
October 29th from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

In the event of over-enrollment, precedence

will be given to those regular staff who
e, in the opinion of the Personnel

@:::, in sensitive positions requiring

aily use of communications skills. Attempts
will be made to evaluate and schedule other
workshops of this nature in consultation
with Steve Sharp.
