Laura’s Shout-Outs Laura Kelsey » assistant editor Aan two weeks of enduring “So Good” beverage withdrawal and then publishing a review in the Other Press promoting the tasty drink, I marched to the New West cafeteria to find out why their stock had been out for so long. With direction from the helpful counter staff, I talked to Cafeteria Manager Mebs Lalani, who took my concerns seriously and ordered a case of the chocolate soymilk. Thanks to him, my classmates didn’t have to go through another day of listening to me cry out for So Good and trying to suck their nipples for substitute sustenance. Mr. Lalani, the second-year PRFU class thanks you. On the morning of February 20, I arrived at the New West campus just in time to see the streets lined with students after they were chased out of the college by a false fire alarm. In my rush to get snapshots of the event in my capacity as interim OP photographer, I dropped my cell phone in the crowd. An anonymous student witnessed this act of stupidity and saved me money (and stopped the potential exposure of embarrassing cell pictures) by picking up my flip phone and returning it to me. Thanks so much; I owe you a So Good.
