the cause of depression, where and when to get help, children
and depression, and what to expect afterward.

The Ballad of Hard Times VHS 60 mins.

A documentary about the Great Depression of the 1930s and its
repercussions in Quebec and Canada. In the form of a journal
put to music, the film is also a sort of musical tragedy that
reveals to us this collective memory of working people who
remember the "hard times" as vividly as a nightmare. They
recount and sing of their experiences with emotion and force.
Using archival films, interviews and songs, the authors conclude
by drawing parallels with the current economic depression.
