Tiger is on the Prowl! Winning with Binning by Vik Binning "E teceseesbcsitaccibtsinceeaite career with another masterful victory last weekend at Torrey Pines Golf Course, host of the Buick Invitational. Tiger shot a -19 under par, at a par 72 course during the four round tournament. Even though Tiger shot four bogeys in the final round, and had only one in the previous three rounds, he didn’t let that faze him. Why? He’s Tiger Woods, that’s why. The Buick Invitational win was a huge milestone in Tiger’s career, tying him on the all-time PGA Tour wins list with the legendary Arnold Palmer at 62 wins. When Palmerreached that milestone he was 44 years old, while Tiger is only 32. He’s thus likely well on his way to surpass the records of other greats such as Ben Hogan (64 wins), Jack Nicklaus (73 wins), and Sam Snead (82 wins). In my opinion, Tiger Woods is the greatest golfer of all time, and I can say with a lot of confidence, that as of now, there is no one in the foreseeable future that will ever be as good as Tiger. There’s just no one in the game of golf that can sink the shots that he sinks, and at the same time make it look like child’s play. He’s number two in the all-time men’s Major Championships list with 13 in his career. At the. young age of only 32, he’s already broken numerous golf records. He was the fastest to ever win SO PGA Tour events, won the PGA Player of the Year award nine times; and won the AP Male Athlete of the Year award four times. It took Jack Nicklaus 24 years to accrue his 18 Major Championship wins, and in only 10. years of golfing, Tiger has already won 13. He’s simply one of the most phenomenal athletes in all of pro sports. Even though golf might not be the most electrifying game, Tiger’s poise in the clutch and his tremendous mastery of the sport has made him the greatest entrepreneur of golf. Not only has he dominated that sport, but he has truly been the sole force in putting golf back on the map. Earlier this year, Tiger said that he would win all four Major Championships this year, and personally, I do not doubt him at all. He used the Buick Invitational last weekend to show that he’s back in full form and ready to dominate the Tour once again this year, winning by eight strokes, even after having a tough final day. By ‘the end of his career, Tiger will be the all-time leader in PGA Tour wins, as well as Major Championship wins, and * NN \ February 4, 2008 I don’t think anyone will ever surpass if I could send a message out to his him in any of those two categories. competition it would be only one thing — Tiger’s on the prowl, and watch out!
