Hockey Our men's hockey team, after winning their first league game easily, haughtily trooped down to Bellingham for a game against Western Washington University. Much to their surprise, they were greeted by 800 screaming fans who weren't shy about showing the Royals what they thought of Canadians. Beer bottles, popcorn, wrappers, etc., filled the penalty box, along with our team, throughout the whole game. It also seemed as if we were always playing with only three guys and a goalie. Where do you suppose we could get 800 screaming fans and partial referees? Intramurals & Athletics Basketball > Our basketball programs are starting off at the top this year! The women's team defeated Capilano 58-27 and lost by only four points to VCC (58-54). VCC has the strongest women's team in our league, so the {next game with them should be a good one. The men's team lost to Capilano 61-42, but DEFEATED VCC 78-76 in a fabulous game that never allowed the score to get more than four points apart. Volleyball The men's volleyball team attended a tournament at Trinity Western on November 10, coming in fourth behind Fraser Valley College, The Cosmos, and the winners, Western Washington University. This team is certainly moving up the ladder. Soccer Indoor soccer is finishing up for the first semester, and with the addition of a few students, the staff and faculty team isn't doing too badly.
