CLARIFICATION FROM NEW WESTMINSTER PERMANENT PROJECT DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE RE PRESENT INVENTORY. As a result of our last meeting with ministry personnel in June, we now have a clear picture of the guidelines under which we should operate in equipping the new building. These guidelines have been transmitted to Chairman of Users Groups and Administrator of Reference. In summary, we are expected to use our existing inventory of goods whenever possible in the new building, making allowance for equipment that should 0 be written off because of its dilapidation or inappropriateness for use in the new facilities. Some items of equipment will be refurbished as a cost to the project - for example, the re-painting of certain book stacks, re-topping of certain laboratory benches, and so on. New programs, such as Dental Hygiene, will be completely equipped with new items. We are hoping that much of our existing general classroom equipment will be replaced. Detailed information is available from Barbara Bessey, Project Assistant (Education).
