INSIDE DOUGLAS COLLEGE / February 18, 1992 Staff Profile Except for learning some new names, it’s business as usual for Glenn Ellingson in the Douglas College Printing Department. Ellingson, who worked as a duplicating operator in the Printing Depart- ment from 1982 to 1989, has returned to his job after taking a few years off to broaden his technical training. “| enjoy working here. It’s really good to be back,” says Ellingson. “Noth- ing has really changed, except for some new faces.” When not at work, the Calgary native devotes most of his time to his two favourite passions. The first is his family; wife, Sonia, and children Erica, Kristen and Jonathan. The second is recreation. “I don’t play racquet sports,” smiles Ellingson, but he plays just about everything else. He’s is active in men’s recreational hockey, flag football and can be spotted in Moody Park playing Senior B Softball. a Sports Douglas College student Willy Wan makes a backhand return during doubles competition at an exhibition badminton tournament on Feb. 9 at the College. Royals keep winning Except for a small reality check for the women’s basketball squad, Douglas College teams continued to display their winning spirit in recent BCCAA action. The men’s basketball team posted a pair of victories, defeating Cariboo 95-70 on Feb. 7 and Trinity Western 92-78 on Feb. 8. One week after knocking off league-leading Fraser Valley to move into a first place tie, the women’s basketball team suffered a 65-60 loss to the fifth- place Cariboo Sun Demons. The Royals rebounded on Feb. 8 to beat TWU 73-69. There were no setbacks for the women’s volleyball team, currently ranked eighth in the nation.
