INSIDE DOUGLAS COLLEGE / MARCH 19, 1991 BULLETIN BOARD Leisure Buddy Program Could you befriend a student with a mental handicap? The Con- sumer and Job Preparation Pro- gram seeks volunteers who will accompany students to on-campus college activities. Since the Consumer and Job Preparation classes are small, stu- dents don’t have the opportunity to meet many other college stu- dents. Making friends, joining sports activities, attending noon hour concerts and lectures, are all activities you might share. The Douglas College Student Society will be able to match you with someone when you give them your name and list of inter- ests. It may only take one or two hours a week but the experience is bound to be enriching for both of you! For more information please contact Mary at 527-5164 or Mar- lene at 527-5114.
