Pinetree Way update Things are moving along on schedule for the Pinetree Way campus. The Project Construction Committee has selected the Project Management firm of John R. Lauder Ltd. The Project Manager for the site will be past Douglas College employee West Graydon. Mr. Graydon was Director of Facilities at Douglas College from May 1978 - Sept. 1984. He left the College to be the Project Developer for Expo 86. During the last week of July, interviews were under way for the selection of a architectural firm. With 22 bids submitted and the input of School District #43, the committee was able to compile a short list of four firms, all having considerable experience in designing educational institutions. The selection panel included the Project Construction Committee, School District #43 officials and project managers. It is expected that by the August 9th Board meeting the selection panel will have its recommendation and will ask the Board to appoint a firm.
