The Canada - Pakistan Resource Directory

1. What will it be?

The first Canada - Pakistan resource directory will list and briefly describe
Canadian persons with a substantial interest/knowledge/involvement in Pakistan.
Listings will include persons from the following sectors:

- Federal departments/ programs

- Provincial departments/ programs

- corporations and business firms

- trade and professional associations

- NGO's

- post-secondary institutions

- research institutions

- Canada - Pakistan friendship organizations

Appropriate cross-referencing and subject indexes will be included in the directory.

2. How will it help?

The directory, for the first time, will:

- Provide a single source reference document which indentifies Canadians
with a substantial interest and knowledge of Pakistan

- Encourage the utilization of Canadians and Canadian organizations who hold
a wealth of information about Pakistan.

- Encourage the cross-fertilizations of practice and knowledge. Canadians in
one sector will be able to find and work with Canadians, preferrably
unknown to them, in other sectors.

- In general, help Canadians serve the development of Pakistan in a more
integrated manner.

3. Who is doing it?

Square One Management Ltd., under contract to the Pakistan program - CIDA, is
compiling the first Canada - Pakistan resource directory. Ruben Nelson, President
of Square One, is project manager. Vicki Nash is project researcher.
