QUEBEC STUDENTS NEED ACCOMMODATION

Douglas College is still looking for accommodations for students from
Quebec who will be involved in an English Language immersion program
on the College's Surrey Campus from May 28 to July 7.

Families willing to house a student for the six-week period will receive
$240 in compensation.

Host families would be expected to provide room accommodation, breakfast
and dinner for the student. Lunches will be provided by the College.

The object of the immersion program is to expand the students' ability
to speak English and to give them an appreciation of B.C. and its people.

East Kootenay Community College invites applications for the following - :
positions:
Permanent Positions effective July 1979.

PSYCHOLOGY: to teach and develop first and second-year university
transfer and first-year career program human services psychology
courses. Candidates should have an appropriate Master's or Ph.D. degree.
Teaching experience, course work in developmental psychology and work
experience with the mentally handicapped is desireable. Qualification
and ability to teach in another discipline is an asset.

ENGLISH: to teach and develop first and second-year university transfer
courses in English and one of either French, Philosophy, Political Science,
or Religious Studies. Candidates should have an appropriate Master's or
Ph.D. degree. Teaching experience is desirable.

ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY: subject to program approval, the
College requires a qualified instructor to develop and teach first-year
technical institute level electrical technology courses. Candidates
should have an appropriate diploma or degree, and related industrial
experience. Teaching experience is desirable.
