The following films are now available for loan from the Douglas

Day-Care: The Newest Tradition

This film is about quality day-care. It focuses on the role of the
day-care center as a family center, where staff are professionals and
where children are encouraged to explore fully their childhood. The
film conveys its message through examining the sensitivities of three
adults: the director of the center, and two parents, one of whom cannot

The People You Never See (Subject - The Citizen and Society)

For people with cerebral palsy (one in every thousand) the obstacles
of the common everyday world make each outing an exercise in anger, hurt
and frustration. Any handicap, physical or mental, is hard enough to deal
with, but society's prejudices make it that much more difficult. Studies
have shown that most people would rather be close to a convicted killer
