INSIDE DOUGLAS COLLEGE / MARCH 13, 1990 Athletic Update Women’s Volleyball Sharp awarded all-Canadian and all-star Sue Sharp, a 20-year-old univer- sity transfer student from Kelowna, B.C., was awarded all-Canadian status and BCCAA Ist team all-star for her efforts with the Douglas Col- lege Royals Women’s Volleyball team. Sharp is captain and middle blocker in her 2nd year with the team. She plans to attend UBC next year and we at Douglas wish her well. Coach McInnes labels her con- tributions to the team’s success out- standing. Badminton Team 24 kt. gold badminton The Douglas team walked away with top honours at the BCCAA Championships in Nanaimo this weekend winning 4 out of 5 gold medals. Men’s Curling More BCCAA gold The Men’s Curling team delivered a 4-0 drubbing to the com- petition this weekend, winning the BCCAA Gold Medal in the process. Cariboo College was 2nd with a 3-1 record. CNC, Cariboo #2 and Royal Roads tied for 3rd with identical 1-3 records.
