Slatten is a graduate of the Consumer and Job Preparation program at Douglas College. He puts in eight hours per day at Superior Moulding Ltd., where he helps make finishing board and trim for cabinets and staircases. But Slatten, who has cerebral palsy, faces challenges that most workers can’t even imagine. That’s why he took the Douglas College program, which helps adults with special needs develop career goals through job explorations and instruction factors. We’re incorporating services for the disabled into the building. Many offices will have windows that open, but in social and human awareness skills.
