l, was the best of times. . .and, well, it was the best
of times for Douglas College sports teams. As
January drew to a close, Douglas College Royals
found themselves leading in no less than four
British Columbia Collegiate Athletic Association
races.

Check the BCCAA standings in men’s and
women’s basketball; the Royals are leading in both.
Look over to women’s volleyball and Douglas also
leads the pack. Try the team badminton column
and the Royals are number one there, too.

In fact, things are presently looking so bright
for Douglas teams that you might almost feel sorry

The Royals Women’s Volleyball team surges to

the top of its 10-team conference. Tied for first

place with Trinity Western University, they have
won 11 out of 12 games.

Norman, who has coached the women’s basketball
team to a perfect 6-0 conference record. “The coaches
are feeling great about this,” echoes Dave Dalcanale,
the women’s volleyball team coach. “Everybody is
pretty happy with the performance of their teams."
