Notes from Lincoln Centre Centre 2000 celebrated its second year of operations at the Lincoln Centre with a Black Tie and Sneakers Award Ceremony on June 28 in the Douglas Room to honor community and College partners who have contributed to its success. Among external partners honored were Irene Bouchard of the Coquitlam Arts Council, Gordon MacDonald of the Canadian Auto Workers Union, and Valerie Brooks, for coordinating efforts between Centre 2000 and Kwantlen University College. I Education Council offers new journal The Douglas College Education Council will sponsor a new journal called Discourse: A Forum for Educational Views. The journal will publish two or three times a year and include scholarly articles on educational issues of significance to Douglas College and the B.C. college system as a whole. The focus for the first two issues will be the future of Douglas College within the post-secondary system. The majority of articles will be written by Douglas College personnel but, when appropriate, articles by those outside the College community will be encouraged. The Editorial Committee consists of Kevin Barrington-Foote (Editor), Bill Main, Janet Allwork, Jean Cockburn, and Rod Midgeley. I
