Mary Fewster, Director of Nursing
Department, will be conducting the
third in a series of workshops with
tutors from thirteen Schools of |
Nursing in the Caribbean for the
Pan American Health Organization.
The workshop is being held in
Kingston, Jamaica at the Inter-
Continental Hotel, from October 4th
to 17th, 1981.

Mary will be assisting each school
in the development of a General
Nursing Curriculum that will prepare
nurses to meet the present health
needs in the Caribbean. She will be
returning to the College on October
26th.

Effective October 5, 1981 Barbara
Gilliland will be the Counselling
Receptionist at Winslow Site. This
is a new position, distinct from the
previous joint Counselling/Admissions
Receptionist position. Barbara can
be reached at Winslow local 15.

SWITCHBOARD OPERATION - NEW WEST

Entirely new staff are attempting to
cope with the busiest of seasons for
our telephone system. Our new day
operator is experienced but requires
more familiarity with our organization,
names and locals. In addition, her
burden is increased by the need to
train two additional staff to provide
relief coverage.

Your understanding, patience and
consideration is requested until all
staff is trained and fully familiar
with not only the mechanics of opera-
tion, but details of an organization
entirely new to them.

Blood

As you are probably aware, the Red Cross is experiencing shortages of blood.

 

Clinics for the remainder of this semester, are as follows: VS,
October 19, Monday - 11:00 to 5:00 p.m.; October 20, Tuesday - 2:00 to 8:00 p.m.

November 16, Monday - 11:00 to 5:00 p.m.;

November 17, Tuesday - 2:00 to 8:00 p.m.
