George WoottonScholarship Recipient

 

Vanda Stella Ciammaichella receives the George C. Wootton Scholarship from Douglas College
Board chairman Gerry Trerise at a November 21 meeting. Ciammaichella, a Surrey resident,
earned the award for her 3.81 grade point average in the Bachelor of Music program this past
semester, as well as for work in the community and in extra-curricular activities at Douglas
College. This past summer, she worked with mentally handicapped adults and low income families
at Camp Alexandra in White Rock.
