LOUGLAS COLLEGE / MARCH 27, 1590 Memorandum to Faculty Changes to Graduation Ceremony in June From time to time, I have received comments from faculty, ad- ministrators, staff and students concerning the graduation ceremonies. By and large, those comments reflected a desire to "formalize" the ceremony. To that end, we have made major modifications to the ceremony. One of those modifications is the gowning of all graduates. Gowns will be provided by the College for students. Therefore, faculty who will be attending the ceremonies should also be gowned, and my office will co-ordinate this effort at the appropriate time; however, we will not be arranging for academic hoods for faculty. I would ask that each faculty member assume that respon- sibility. If you have any questions, please give myself or Jan Basaraba a call. Please plan to attend as we celebrate our 20th Anniversary. Due to the changes, there will be two separate ceremonies; one at 1:30 p.m. and the second at 7:30 p.m. on June 7, 1990. Programs will be designated to each ceremony for students to receive their awards. P.H.
