| felt suspicion and danger
It all began
With my introduction to one
| could only despise
That led me to another

  

VOICE OF THE MIND

The voice in my head is calling,
it’s echoing through my mind.
It’s calling for its sweetheart,
the kind you seldom find.

The voice in my head is crying
it’s crying out for love.

It’s crying from frustration
and for guidance from above.

The voice in my head is wishing,
it’s wishing that you knew.

It’s wishing that you feel

the same love that I feel for you.

The voice is like a tumour,
it’s growing in my brain.
It’s eating up my thoughts
and driving me insane.

The voice it haunts me nightly
it echoes through my dreams,
it’s calling out your name

and lingers in my screams.

It tells me I can’t have you,
it slaps me with its hand.

It tells me I’m not good enough,
I guess I understand.
