Porter COST OF TEXTBOOKS As a result of inflation, our rule- of-thumb governing the cost to students of text books and other gh she materials should not exceed credit / semester ( previous] $3.00). : 2 This means that all the books for History 21-113 (3 credits) should cost no more than $15. In the case of Physics 45-110 where the same text is used in 45-210, our rule has been to consider both semesters and allow costs of $30. This rule covers paper-backs, texts, art supplies, muslin, binders, workbooks, lab manuals, etc. Any list given by an instructor to students as "strongly suggested" etc. constitutes a requirement and is governed by this rule. The purpose of the rule is to consider the total expenses expected of a student. This revision limits books, etc. to $150 a year. The students pay only $200 in fees. D.A. Porter
