EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY MRSHIVES

The Union of British Columbia Indian Chiefs
immediately requires a Co-Ordinator of Research Program.
This is a developmental and continuing position which

involves research activities undertaken by the Union

of British Columbia Indian Chiefs.

DUTIES

(a) To identify and establish research Priorities,
evaluating the qualities and relevance of proposals submitted
by outside researchers;

(b) To assess the adequacy of completed research;

(c) To provide quarterly progress reports and be
responsible to the Executive Director of the Union.

(da) To maintain a communication link with both provincial
and federal research groups;

(e) To update library when there is insufficient material
providing references as to location and the availability of

resource material:

(£) To assist in the selection and the training of field

researchers.

QUALIFICATIONS

(a) A good ability to establish liaison with research
bodies, both Provincially and federally and other groups such

as legal organizations, community agencies, educational
