IViad Hatter Page 4 CANADIAN ASSOCIATION FOR ADULT EDUCATION CORBETT HOUSE - 29 PRINCE ARTHUR AVENUE, TORONTO MSR 1B2 : (416) 964-0559 preadent ANNI IRONSIDL executive director JAN MORRISON The Commonwealth Relations Trust invites candidates for a study/travel bursary in the United Kingdom ,0r the three month period May 1 - July 31, 1984 The Commonwealth Relations Trust was established in 1935 under the title Imperial Relations Trust to promote a common understanding and a unity of ideals between the United Kingdom (UK) and other countries of the Common- wealth. The object of the Bursary is to pay for a study visit which will help to promote contacts between Canada and the United Kingdom. The Canadian Association for Adult Education has been asked by the Trust to serve as its agent in the selection of an appropriate bursar for 1984. The Bursary will provide: a. one adult return fare by the most direct and economical means to the UK; b. allowances for local travel and other out-of-pocket expenses; and c. daily maintenance allowance on a generous scale for a period of three months from date of arrival. The period of the Bursary will commence May 1, 1984 and end July 31, 1984. Exceptions will not normally be considered by the Trust. The Trust's inten- tion is to bring Bursars to the UK unaccompanied by their families. Lilcan= didates intend to bring their family or spouse, they must do so at their own expense and provide explicit assurances that the Erenence of their families will not "hinder them in carrying out their programmes" in the UK.
