ACTIVITIES AND ATHLETICS

Tennis lessons will be available during the

evening for beginners. Cost will be $10 for
six lessons. Register with Betty Lou Hayes,
Room 1338 by memo.

Exercise classes are beginning on September
19 and the cost will be the same as last
year, at $l per session.

Aerobic classes at lunch hour (12:10 -
12:50, Mon. through Thurs. )

Slow Stretch classes (4:3U - 5:30, Tues.
and Thurs.)

NEW! A Jazz Exercise class on Wednesdays
at 4:30 p.m.

Indoor soccer for students, staff and fac-
ulty will begin Thursday, September 22.
Register as a team or individually with
Betty Lou Hayes, Room 1338. Men play from
Noon - 1 p.m. and women from 1 - 2 p.m.

Cur Totem Conference soccer team, coached by
Chris Bowcott, is looking good this year and
we would like your support. Come to the
first home game, against Capilano, September
25, 10 a.m. at Mercer Stadium. See you
there:

Ice Hockey is raising its head at Douglas
this year and a faculty member is desperat-
ely needed to be included for ONE HOUR a
week. This will be an intramural sport for
men (maybe some women) and will take place
on Wednesday mornings at 7:15 a.m. If you
can donate one hour of your time to Douglas
students (and have some fun) please call
betty Lou Hayes at Local 5338.

Our men's and women's basketball teams are
holding informal practices:

Men - Tues. & Thurs. 6 - 8 p.m.
women - Mon. & Wed 5 - 7 p.m.

Please inform interested students of these

Association will help with the organization
and instruction of a club for interested
groups. I shouldn't have to say this, but
it is definately CO-ED.

LAKEHEAD SEEKS PRESIDENT

Lakehead University is commencing a search
for a new President.

The Search Committee is interested in re-
ceiving applications directly from inter-
ested individuals or nominations of quali-
fied candidates. If you wish to nominate
one or more individuals we would very much
appreciate if you could indicate whether

or not those being nominated have expressed
their willingness to be considered. Let-
ters of nomination should include biograph-
jcal details of the person nominated.

The deadline for applications and nomina-
tions is September 30.
