Educational Media = Provincial Communications Authority Some of you may know that the provincial government has entered the educational television field. A five-person Provincial Communications Authority has been established - all civil servants - two from the Department of Education, two from the Department of Transport and Communications and one from the Provincial Secretary Department. As you may imagine it is of vital interest to us all how educational media are developed in B.C. The issues of copyright, and fees, and the role of educators in the development and use of educational media, are very important to us as college faculty. The College Faculties Federation of B.C. has established a committee of representatives from every college in the province that will meet with the University Faculty Association of B.C. and the B.C. Teachers Federation in order to draft proposals to protect and develop a role for educators in media. I wish to congratulate Jim Sellers who has agreed to represent Douglas College Faculty Association on this committee which is headed by Arthur Pape and Jim Bizzocchi of Capilano College.
