Chris Johnson was invited to speak at the American Dental Association’s annual conference last month in Las Vegas. Over 53,000 delegates attended, and 350 down- in-the-mouth dentists signed up for his laughter workshop, which he titled You Don’t Need Nitrous Oxide to Laugh in the Office. He got a standing ovation, and 1s confirmed for next year’s conference in Orlando, Florida. Other dentists have asked him to speak in Chicago and New Orleans. Chris also reports that he crapped out on the slot machines. At Employee Orientation on October 5, new employees won a bunch of T shirts, sweatshirts, and coffee mugs. Students volunteering... About 50 English as a Second Language students attended a workshop organized by Language & Cultural Assistant Lani Hyde on October 18. The workshop was delivered by Maria Nguyen of the Greater Coquitlam Volunteer Centre. It was designed to help get ESL students involved in community volunteer work, which helps community groups and also lets them practice their English. Melanie Acting Director...
