This film tells the story of a fictional character,
Sandra Blain, who has no job, no job skills, no husband, no
family, and no home. It shows how she puts her life
together as a recovering alcoholic.

The Depressed Client 16 mm 30 mins.

Course instructors Grayce Sills and Doreen James Wise
discuss the continuum of depressive behaviour, identification
of depressive behaviour, and the description and interpreta-
tion of physiological functioning of the depressed client.
Guidelines for nursing intervention are stressed.

 

Creative Practice Techniques VHS 45 mins.

A practical guide to developing productive, enjoyable
practice on any instrument is presented. Also, Cecile Licad
performs Tchaikovsky's First Piano Concerto.

La Boh'eme 453" VHS 115 mins.

Set in the Latin Quarter of Paris amongst the Bohemian
students whose hectic gaiety only partially masks the despair
and pain that threaten their lives, La Boh'eme remains one of
the most popular of all operas with its stark contrasts of
lively humour and poignant tragedy. This recording of the
well-known Covent Garden production by John Copley, in Julia
Trevelyan Oman's authentic settings, stars Ileana Cotrubas
and Neil Shicoff as Mimi and Rodolfo, whose tender love
affair is doomed from the start. The opera is conducted by
Lamberto Gardelli.
