EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
EDUCATION CO-ORDINATOR

The Union of British Columbia Indian Chiefs
immediately requires an Education Co-Ordinator to work

closely with Bands throughout the province in all aspects

of Indian Education.

DUTIES

Under the direction of the Administrator and within
terms of reference set down by the Chief's Council, his major
duties will be:

(a) To assist in any way those bands wishing to implement
Indian control of Indian Education;

(b) To compile and maintain all relevant information
regarding Indian Education in British Columbia and to
co-ordinate the Union's position on major matters in Education;

(c) To act as a co-ordinative link between the Union

and other organizations and government agencies involved.

QUALIFICATIONS

Preference will be given to the person who is:
(a) A University graduate who has completed work on,
or is working towards, a master's degree;
(b) Experienced in Indian Education;
(c) Knowledgeable of the entire field of education,

particularly in British Columbia, but in other provinces
