Visual Literacy Series: three short films designed for children from kindergarten to grade 6 to aid in better under- standing audio-visual techniques. Body Talking 6 mins. Illustrates the basic element of non-verbal communications using facial expressions, gestures and posture. It shows how you can "not" say a word and still be heard. A Sense of Touch 6 mins. This film invites young children to use their powers of observation in a musical exploration of the sense of touch. From bath water to bubble gum, from bananas to beards, the film covers a vast spectrum of experiences in touching. Sequence and Story 5 mins. This film demonstrates that a story is a series of events that may be affected by the order in which they are presented. The Fitness Formula 16 mm 27 mins. It is easy to appreciate George Sheehan's many qualities when you look at his life: an authority on sports medicine, author of several books, along with being a columnist, it is understandable that Sports Illustrated would name Sheehan as being "the most important philosopher in sport".
