In support of this idea, the Theatre students at Douglas College are holding an evening of light entertainment Saturday, February 24, at 8:00 p.m. in the Student Lounge on Surrey Campus. "Adaptation", a one-act play by Elaine May and directed by Gwyneth Harvey will be the main feature of the evening. Several delightful short skits will also be includ ed and liquid refreshments will be available to add to the pleasant informality of the evening. DOUGLA oh COLLEGE | ORK | LITHOGRAPHY EXHIBITION The exhibition 19th Century English Watercolours and Drawings, scheduled for showing at the Simon Fraser Gallery from February 5 - 26 has been temporarily with~ drawn from circulation by its lenders. The Gallery will present in its place, the ex= hibit The Art of Lithography. This exhibit is drawn- from the collections of the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria and made possible by a grant from the Canada Council. Its purpose is to demonstrate the evolution. of lithography as an art form since its invention in 1798 in Munich. The colourful exhibit includes approx- imately fifty original works by many of the B EGEwo ld's best known artists; including Braque, Ceganne, Chagall, Daumier, Escher, Kandinsky, PiƩasso, Toulouse-Lautrec and Lichenstein. The Art of Lithography will be on view at The Simon Fraser Gallery from February 7-23. The Gallery, located off the South Concourse in the Academic Quadrangle at Simon Fraser University, is open on Mondays from 1:30-4 p.m. and 5-8 p.m., and Tuesdays through Fridays from 10 a.m.-l p.m. and 2-4 p.m. kk
