DOUGLAS COLLEGE INTER OFFICE MEMO TO: FROM: RE: The Mad Hatter DATE: December 13, 19 D. R. Williams, Director 6f Libraries Archives Anyone doing a Ph D in education, or other original research, might be interested to know that the college archives are now in reasonably coherent shape. The materials in them are avail- able to faculty or others, on application to me. Certain items have been placed in the archives under restriction, and are available only with the authorization of the original donor. The collection so far includes a considerable amount of material from administration, including Bill Day's papers relating to occurences prior to the founding of the college, Social Sciences Department's materials prior to 1972 (restricted access) a certain amount of Environmental Studies papers, various committee records, and a considerable amount of miscellaneous material. The collection is by no means complete, or up to date. No doubt many faculty have in their possession papers which would be of interest or useful for the archives. If you have any material you would like to be placed in the archives, please forward it to me. A comprehensive report is available to those who would like further information on the archives. as Bicecs David R. Williams, Director of Libraries DRW: jb
