General Accountant and has served as Board Chair for the Arthritis Society, BC and Yukon Division. Graeme Bowbrick, Douglas College Criminology instructor and New Westminster resident, replaces Meg Stainsby as the faculty representative. Bowbrick is a former Attorney General of British Columbia, Minister of Advanced Education and MLA for New Westminster. Paul Wates, Chief Financial Officer for Arrow ‘Transport Systems and Coquitlam resident, also joined the Board. Wates is a Certified Chris Codrington, Senior Human Resources Manager for Best Buy Canada Ltd and New Westminster resident, was previously the Partner Relations Manager, Western Canada for Starbucks Coffee Company and the Labour Relations/Human Resources Advisor for the Children’s & Women’s Health Centre of BC. Small groups, whole departments, individuals and even a class all joined in to provide gift hampers for 10 I-CARE literacy students and their families,” she says. “The gifts were practical, thoughtful, fun and caring —and the students were very touched by the generosity of people at Douglas College. It was a real outpouring of kindness.
