INSIDE DOUGLAS COLLEGE / April 14, 1992 THE INSIDE ZONE . . by Carillon Well, we're half-way through April and that means there’s not much time left to file income tax returns. If you’re still a little con- fused by those pesky forms, maybe you should just drop them off with the College’s in-house tax whiz, Bursar Peter Greenwood. We’re sure he’d love nothing bet- ter than to do your tax return for you, free of charge. And while Peter is busy preparing your return, sit back and catch up on some of your favourite co-workers. Welcome back... Community Program & Services Programmer Rita Chudnovsky is back from a 3-year leave of ab- senve. Rita, was working as the Children’s Advocate for the City of Vancouver. Board award... Congratulations to Douglas College Board Chair Myrna Popove on winning the very pres- tigious Association of Community College Trustees’ Trustee Leader- ship Award for the Pacific Region. Myrna will be picking up the award in Portland, Oregon. Watch the next issue of INSIDE for the full story. Hey, wait a minute... System’s Mark Coumont cooked up the win- ning chili in the Douglas College Foundation’s second annual Chili Concourse contest on March 26. Education and Student Service Secretary Yvonne Mostert finished a close second. Ain’t it nifty... Psychiatric Nursing’s Gloria Kummerfield would like to thank all her buddies who helped or- ganize her “special” birthday on March 26. The tombstone was a morbid touch. If there had been a prize for best Chili Concourse costume, Chemistry Lab Technician Paul Taylor would have won it.
