From The Editor

 

Seasons Greetings

Well, we have survived another year,
some of us weathered more than the
others but at the end of the day—we
made it.

Hopefully we are more enlightened,
educated, and better off than when we
started. School is a tricky thing—so
much information to absorb in such a
quick time. If I am going to learn about
the state of nature, according to how
Hobbes, Locke, or Rousseau viewed
things, I am going to need more than
three months.

I want to say that I am going to fur-
ther investigate the glimpses I got at phi-
losophy, anthropology, and
pyschology...but chances are my life is
going to be filled with other knowledge
that is trying to edge it’s way in.

I pray that this semester, we at the
Other Press, have entertained you. I
hope we have made you laugh, cry, and
shout out in anger. It’s what we aim
for—that array of mixed emotion.

I hope that everyone gets something
good under the tree this year. You
deserve it! You have been studying hard
and it’s time for some reward.

I can’t wait to see everyone next semes-
ter. Please remember that we are always
looking for more help. Write a column,
takes some photos, or just sit around the
office and keep us company. But get
involved. Your college memories will last
a life-time—if you plan it right.

The weekly deadline for submissions is Wednesday
for publication the following Wednesday. Letters to
the Editor, vacant sections, and “time sensitive” arti-
cles (weekend news, sports, and cultural reviews) will
be accepted until Saturday noon and can be submit-
ted to the editor via email:
