The night began with an incredible light show, fireworks and Grizz, the Grizzlies’ mascot bear, being repelled from the rafters to land center court. The Extreme Dance Team also put on a great performance, not to be skinned with cheerleaders, the EDT is in a class of their own. The full house at GM Place participated readily and cheered the team onto a 100- 98 victory against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Even scoring giant Christian Laettner was no match for the scoring efforts of the Grizzlies Greg Anthony and byron Scott. The game was tied with 14 seconds left in regulation time by a three pointer from Christian Laettner, but in overtime with a second left to spare Chris king tipped the ball in to win the game.
