Each of us will be affected in some way by these events. While many of oe us would like to go to China to "see for ourselves" few of us will have a chance to do so. \ \ 4 i, A This course will feature persons who have recently te visited China - providing an opportunity to hear first- ee hand reports of the sweeping changes they have witnessed. Most speakers will feature their own slides or otherwise illustrate their personal experiences. He will discuss the rise of Imperialism, the opium wars, the Republic of Sun Yat Sen and events since 1949-with future implications.
