His books include Taking Cover (1982) and Foreign Affairs (1985), which won the Ethel Wilson fiction Prize at the an- nual B.C. Book Prizes in 1986. He is currently working on a novel, a collection of stories, and an international anthology of writing for Canada India Vil- lage Aid, Writers’ Worst Journeys. He writes: In fiction, time is every- thing - a patient study of the length of lines. If you were to trace Relativity’s curved line through space, if you were to Jly in a straight line around everything, you'd end up at the same place. But it can’t be; you wouldn't be. To be sure kings and queens are pleased with such lines they believe established in nature. Isn't gravity, after all, the weakest force? aS SS ak a BSR R21 EG 5
