It is designed for practitioners in IR and planning and policy studies as well as for administrators who use the services of IR professionals and students of higher education. Educ 580 provides detailed study of several areas of institutional re- search. Simulation exercises, selected readings and team projects form the basis of the seminars. Possible topics include: enrolment trend analysis and forecasting, facilities utilization and capital planning, collective bargaining, cost determination, data base development and management information systems. ELIGIBILITY FOR REGISTRATION Registration in these courses is normally permitted only for students on a graduate programme. Students in programmes other than educational administration should obtain the approval of their advisor before reg- istering. On occasion, registration as an "unclassified student" is possible for persons not on a graduate programme. Prior approval of the Education Graduate Programmes Office is necessary in such cases.
