A Great Night for Music Saturday November 25th was a great night for music at Douglas College. After enjoy- ing the piano performance of Robert Silverman in the College Theatre, music aficionados were treated to free performances by the Douglas College Jazz Bands and the Roy Reynolds Quartet in a packed Upper Cafeteria. The jazz concert/party was held to celebrate the release of the Douglas College Jazz Band’s fourth album, At this Point in Time. Band Director, Blair Fisher was happy with the number of people who attended the party and with the number of records sold. "The cafeteria was full. A lot of people from the College com- munity were pleasantly surprised with the talent we have here. And dozens of people have said we should do it again.” Fisher said the band will be doing more recording in 1989. He plans to release a new cas- sette of the Band’s music later in the year.
