In the final weeks of the project,
the pair put together dioramas and
displays for use at community
centres, such as public libraries,
and in the College.

These displays combined the efforts
of students in the other summer
Biology projects, and show the
findings of research at Burnaby
Lake, Belcarra Underwater Marine
Park and other areas.

On top of this, the two artists
did artwork for several pamphlets,
including one on Burnaby Lake
designed to show residents how

to reduce the effects of pollu-
tion in the region.

"All in all, it's been a valuable
experience for students, and any-
one else who gets the opportunity
to view their work," says Adrienne
Peacock, project coordinator and
instructor at Douglas College.

"You could say Douglas College has
been more than fortunate in gaining
their assistance."
