local punk legends D.O.A. Playing

a mix-bag of tracks from their back
catalogue, along with a bevy of new

tracks from their most recent disc,
Talk — Action = 0, hit the Cabaret hard
Douglas.

While I can’t say I was a huge fan

of 2008’s Elephant Shell, Tokyo
Police Club’s newest release, Champ,
definitely helped to rekindle my love
for the band. See the boys live at

The Commodore with indie-rockers
Arkells (another fantastic Canadian
band) who’s opening track off of their
album, Jackson Square, “Deadlines”
feels more and more appropriate as

This week brings us a baroque flute
and harpsichord recital (and who
doesn’t enjoy a good ba’rock’ ue
show... I’m sorry.) For those looking
for a night cap head on over the The
Havana Theatre on Commercial for
the opening night of Lobby Hero.

A dark comedy revolving around a
murder investigation in an apartment
building foyer; tickets for Lobby
Hero are $20 (available at the door
and online.)

7 and 9:30pm.If cowboys aren’t
quite your thing, swing by The
Centennial Theatre at 2pm and enjoy
an afternoon with Shane Koyzan
and friends. Canada’s jive-talkin’
