INSIDE DOUGLAS COLLEGE / MAY 16, 1989 Camcorder for Faculty Use The College-Wide Profes- sional Development Committee, in support of faculty profes- sional development, has made available to regular and contract faculty, one 1/2" VHF Camcor- der. The intent of this allocation is to facilitate individual or group professional development ac- tivity which relates specifically to growth in content (subject matter), expertise, or instruction- al development. Procedure for use: 1. Faculty-only booking will be handled using the regular booking procedure of the Audio-Visual Department of Douglas College Library. 2. Bookings will not normally exceed one calendar day. Exceptions beyond one day will only be allowed at the discretion of the Audio-Visual Librarian or booking clerk. 3. Where individual bookings beyond one day create demand problems, all faculty requesting booking will agree as to usage and will follow the regular booking procedure of the Audio-Visual Department. 4. Exceptions for use outside of Douglas College, or while in transit, will only be approved where the faculty member agrees to accept full responsibility for repair or replacement of the camcorder unit and its attachments. Such agreement will be considered as given with faculty signature of the Douglas College Libraries Equipment Requisition form (7324 - revised 87/05/13).
