Lee Duckles, associate principal cello with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and principal cello with the Cabrillo Music Festival Orchestra in California,.will: join Douglas College music in- structor, Arlie Thompson to start the series off at the Douglas College New Westminster campus, February 19. The piano and cello re- cital is open to the pub- lic, students and employ- ees of Douglas College and will be held in the band room, starting at b2330-D.m: Thompson is a perform- ing member of Days, Months and Years to Come , a new music ensemble. He also performs for the Vancouver New Music Society and records for CBC. Their selection of mus- ic promises to be a lunch time treat of works by Beethoven, Shostakovich and Schumann.
