Hilary Stewart, artist, naturalist, lecturer and author, will be con- | ducting the two sessions. | The first session, on November 14, will deal with Coast Indians Use of | Materials of Their Environment. A practical look at these skills and | crafts, including displays, demonstrations and blackboard drawings will clearly explain the techniques and use of these items. Qn November 21, the second session, Early Indian Fishing Methods, will examen the different techniques used by the Northwest Coast Indians for harvesting sea and river-life. Illustrations and displays will be in- cluded, along with a look at various cooking methods. These sessions are co-sponsored with the New Westminster Public Library and due to class size limitation, pre-registration is advised.
