"People will learn to understand what it really means to work and live abroad, possibly in a country where they don't even speak the language," Millett-Sorenson says. And she should know. Her career as an international education advisory began when she returned from Germany and Ireland as a translator. Since that time Millet-Sorenson has been teaching others how to make use of international markets. During the afternoon sessions, she will explain different ways to communicate with people of another culture, plus what academic qualifi- cations are necessary for overseas employment. This workshop is being presented by Douglas college and Capilano College with developmental help from the Northwest International Education Society.
