Students in this 3 credit course use the micro-computer to
practise accounting techniques: journal entries, adjusting
entries, closing entries and financial statements. (It is
the intention to gradually introduce computer-based education
to the majority of the courses in the Accounting Programme.

Project Title: BUSINESS SIMULATION
Description:

Software: Business Management Laboratory
Lotus 1-2-3

Hardware: IBM PC with Printer

This course uses a computer simulation of the flatware industry
to focus on the major functional areas of business. Student teams
make marketing, finance and production decisions in a competitive
environment, and are responsible for the resulting financial
outcome of their own company. Students use Lotus 1-2-3 to build
quantitative models that aid in decision-making.
