(b) post-secondary education or training; and

(c) continuing education.

Section 15 - Functions and Duties of College or Provincial Institute:

Subject to this Act and the resources available to the board, a
board shall:

(a) establish and maintain courses of instruction;

(b) establish fellowships, scholarships, exhibitions, bursaries,
prizes, awards, and other aids to encourage proficiency in
the subjects taught at the instituion;

(c) provide a program of continuing education; and

(d) generally promote the objects of the institution.

Section 2 (1) (a) - Powers and Duties of Minister:
The Minister shall:

(a) establish, in consultation with the councils and boards, policy
for post-secondary education and training in the Province.

1. ‘Collect and analyze the most comprehensive possible body of
information for region.

2. Details of environment scan to be included in Appendix 4.

Provide data or information on the following areas:
(a) demographic profile and projection;
(b) a statement of economic outlook;
(c) description of significant geographic factors;
(d) social profile and social indicators;
(e) expected changes to industry;
(f) summary information on students;

(g) summary of other significant factors.

3. Expected to produce both an optimistic and pessamistic scenario
for population and economic projections.
