Mad Hatter Page 6 Development Opportunities: All Personnel Dr. Terry Clement, the new Dean of Applied Programs, will be commencing duties with us on August 1. Prior to that time, he will be spending time here that will familiarize him with ongoing operations, and enable some development projects to commence in a timely fashion. Terry has been working with Gordon Gilgan on a TRAC proposal, and is currently planning the means by which the college will carry out three Curriculum Development projects that have been approved by the ministry over the past month. These are: a) Assessment Tools for Early Childhood Education b) Task Analysis for Dispensing Opticians c) Activity Aide - Rehabilitation Technologist/Assistant The college is actively seeking federal and provincial funds for curriculum development, both as a way of bringing into being our plans for a diversified curriculum, and as a way of providing additional income to the institution during the difficult times that lie ahead for us. Temporary positions will be created, as these funds come available. These positions will provide an opportunity for existing personnel to use their training and experience in new ways. Terry advises me that people possessing the following skills and experience, and who are interested in curriculum development and program development projects, should make this known to him.
