bULULAS COLLEGE | MAD HATTER PAGE 5 ARCHIVES | bape his Welcome We welcome Andy Wilson, our Registrar, and his staff to the New Westminster site. | Andy joined the College on June 1, 1981 in time to assist with the relocation of | staff and student records from Surrey to New Westminster. The Registrar's Office is located on the south side of the 100 Building.- | The following is a list of personnel, services, and telephone numbers: Andy Wilson, Registrar Loc. 318 Andy has administrative responsibility for all aspects of the Admissions, Registration and Student Records functions. Mayme Furber, Departmental Steno Loc. 318 Mayme is responsible for departmental stenographic services, appointments and reception for Andy; graduation processing and other functions. Debbie Cowie, Senior Records Clerk Loa. 317 Naomi Stewart, Records Clerk Loc. 317 Debbie and Naomi are responsible for processing all registrations, course changes and withdrawals. They update and issue class lists, process, verify and issue semester grades and issue official transcripts. Cathy Gill, Admissions Clerk Loc. 316 Rita Heany (Temporarily on loan from Kwantlen) Process all applications for admission, review and assess qualifications, keep waiting lists, arrange selection testing and interviewing. In general, they conduct all processes related to the application and selection procedures. : Karen Turner, Receptionist Loc. 316 Karen provides front counter services to any visitors and reception services for the department, including answering and directing all incoming telephone calls. Karen also will act as cashier for payment of fees, etc. Requests for calendars, brochures and application forms and maintenance of mailing lists is another of her responsibilities. Julie Beaucaire, Information Services Loc. 319 Julie's responsibilities include the initiation and supervision of calendar update procedures, preparation of calendar for printing, preparation of timetable/class schedule for printing, update and preparation of brochures and other student directed publications. Julie also is responsible for the maintenance of complete transfer credit records. All formal requests for transfer credit are sent to the universities by the Registrar's Office. Julie catalogues the university responses as part of a course history index and also disseminates the information throughout the college. The office can be reached through a direct outside line at 521-6633. While some unpacking is still taking place, and staff are still “settling in", the office is now operational. ...Gerry DellaMattia
