Darlene Kress, Departmental Assistant in the Mathand Science department joined Helen Palmer, Bio Technician for four late April days in 108 Mile where they enjoyed a “Spa Spoiler” at Hills Health Ranch. There they met people from all over the world while enjoying hiking and delicious calorie- reduced cuisine in the peace of the Cariboo. Darlene highly recommends the experience. Sue Vincent , Publicist Assistant in the PIO and family spent a week in June avoiding the floods in Alberta and managed to enjoy the dinosaur exhibits and eerie landscapes in Drumheller as well as camping through the Rockies. Shelley Hay attended a Hide ‘n Seek reunion in Toronto where she met up with old friends from Montreal. There they recalled the days of playing Hide ‘n Seek together as children. Go ahead, hit me.... The automobile owned by Bill Day has a June curse. For the third June in four years, Bill's car was rear ended. Everyone is ok, but the little white Honda is again in need of repair. Bill, take that target off your car! Maternity... Alana Frymire, Deb McFayden, and Mark Crozet enjoyed a luncheon at Finn’s to celebrate Alana’s last day before her maternity leave. Wes Snider, Instructor in the Math and Science Department and his wife Michelle are the proud parents of a baby boy named Liam, born May 22. On June 3, Shamsa Jessa, an instructor in the Biology department gave birth to a baby girl and named her Selin Naheed. Melody Ezart of Accounts Payable had a baby boy named Glen Oshiro, weighing almost 9 lbs. Economics instructor Rod Midgley and wife Sharon are the proud parents of baby Caitlin. The baby girl was born on June 4 and weighed in at nine pounds, seven ounces. Administration’s Ginny Batke is the proud grandmother to Matthew Harold Sadler, born June 9 at 1:10 pm. He weighed eight pounds 15 ounces. Bianca loves it... Lisa Barone wants to thank everyone who signed her card and donated money for baby Bianca. She bought a car seat. Thanks! A hanging to commence... Congratulations to Roy Daykin on achieving his CGA status. Roy will attend his graduation in October after working on his designation of CGA intermittently for 9 years.
